We have returned to a land that is tied to wine territorially, culturally and historically, where we also find a special conditions (terrain and climate) for growing grapes and making great wines. In our view, they are the most suitable. Those we really like. Those that move us. Set in the Cuenca de Pamplona basin and framed between the Sierra del Perdón and the Sierra de Echauri with the Arga river as a natural boundary, Señorío de Otazu is Spain’s northernmost vineyard for red wines. It features an exceptional microclimate, with a predominantly Atlantic influence, plentiful rainfall in winter and clear good light and hours of sun in summer. The thermal difference between day and night during the ripening process of the grapes contributes to instil their aromatic components and their complexity. Extreme situations are the first step towards the unique nature of our wines. Added to this is the oenological wealth of the soil, a blend of alluvial clay terraces, pebbles and rocky terrain. This unique terroir is the first step in our process of selecting the best raw material.
